Archie Gray believes that Tottenham has an excellent opportunity to finish her 17 -year -old courtesy waiting by winning the Europa League this season.
Despite a challenging national campaign, which sees the Spurs sitting 13 in the Premier League and eliminated from both National Cup competitions, European success remains a realistic objective.
Many betting runners currently qualify Tottenham as favorites to lift the Europa League trophy, with his last clash against Az Alkmaar that will begin next week.
Gray, 18, has been an outstanding artist in what has been a difficult season for Spurs. His efforts were recognized on Thursday when he was appointed young player of the year of men in the London Football Awards.
Speaking after receiving his prize, Gray opened the long drought of the club trophy, which goes back to his triumph of the 2008 League Cup.
“It is not something we talk about because we know that the opportunity we have is golden, especially in the Europa League, with the team we have and the people who return from the injuries, we know that we can change that (trophy record),” Gray said.

“We are focusing on the next game and being taken. That (winning the Europa League) is definitely the goal, but we are not getting carried away. It is the next game of the Europa League, but we are taking every game at the same time. “
Since he made the change of Leeds United last summer, Gray has made 35 appearances, often playing out of position as a center-person instead of in his preferred role in the midfield.
The International of England Sub-21 also praised the influence of the heung-min son club, accrediting him for helping him establish himself in the Spurs.
“He is definitely a world -class player and, as a person, he is probably one of the best boys I have met,” Gray added.
“Since I moved to the club for the first time, he always sat and had breakfast with me every morning that for a new player in the club: you look at players like Sonny, Madders (James Maddison), all in the Squad to be fair, you would really not expect to get out of his way to talk to the new 18 -year -old boy who only comes from a championship club.
“To be fair to them, they have helped me establish myself very well and everyone has been incredible with me.”
