Apple reportedly has an iPhone model that is slimmer and another that folds in the works.
The tech giant is working to launch the two new designs in the coming years, with the slim device targeting 2025 and the foldable phone scheduled to arrive roughly the following year, The Wall Street Journal reports. reported on sundayciting anonymous sources.
The thickness of the slim iPhone will reportedly be less than 8 millimeters. It may also come with less complex cameras, depending on the medium.

The slimmer device will seek to appeal to people looking for an iPhone with a lower price than the high-end models Apple makes, The Journal reported.

Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro costs $999, while the Pro Max starts at $1,199.
Meanwhile, the planned foldable iPhone could provide dimensions that exceed those available with the iPhone 16 Pro Max display, according to The Journal.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display, making it the “largest iPhone display ever created,” according to an Apple press release.
Companies like Samsung, Google, Motorola and Huawei already sell foldable phones.

A foldable phone is reportedly not the only piece of foldable technology that Apple is looking to make.
The tech giant has its sights set on producing a laptop-like device that has a roughly 19-inch screen when fully opened, according to The Journal. It is reportedly currently expected to debut after the launch of the foldable iPhone.

As of late October, Apple said it generated about $201.18 billion in annual net sales from its iPhone segment, including $46.22 billion in the fourth quarter that ended Sept. 28. Its net sales of all its products and services for the year amounted to $391.04 billion. which represents a year-on-year increase of 2%.
