According to reports, Jordan Henderson promised to stay in Ajax until summer after retreating his demand to join Monaco.
According to the Telegraaf newspaper, based in Amsterdam, the former international of England told the club yesterday that he would not play for them if they did not allow him to move to Monte Carlo in this transfer window.
Subsequently, Henderson was stripped of the captaincy, but still played in the victory of the Europa League last night over Galatasaray.
