Prime Minister Mark Carney is in Europe this week, where the first part of the next week will go together with political and business leaders to discuss a wide range of economic and economic problems.
Canada and the European Union face a common set of problems while trying to deal with the economic consequences of US tariffs and seek new ways to help Ukraine.
Carney will spend one day in Poland, Germany and Latvia starting Monday.
Defense Minister David McGuinty is accompanied, and will visit the staff of the Canadian Armed Forces that are parked in Poland and Latvia.
Both countries are performing key roles in deterring Russian aggression and support for Ukraine.

In their discussions with the leaders of the three countries, Carney will look for ways to help Ukraine reach a high fire and then defend that high fire.
But leaders will also seek ways to improve their economies and diversify commercial patterns in response to the rates of US President Donald Trump.
Poland is the fastest growing economy in Europe and, although Carney is there, a strategic association on energy and security is expected to sign.
In Germany on Tuesday, Carney will meet with business leaders who have a particular approach to critical minerals.
The Carney’s trip is based on the work done on two summits held in June, the G7 summit in Kananaskis, Alberta and the Canada-EU Summit in Brussels.
Government officials traveling with the prime minister have told reporters to gather Canada and Europe closer is a priority for the Carney government.
Carney will return to Canada on Thursday.
