Taylor Swift was ‘blown away’ by Travis Kelce’s surprise party

The singer was reportedly “shocked” and “impressed” by the NFL star’s thoughtful gesture to celebrate his record-breaking Eras tour.

Looking ahead after touring the world, Taylor Swift reportedly plans to take a break from the spotlight to focus on her relationship with Travis Kelce as the two fall deeper in love.

Swift was surprised at what her boyfriend, Kelce, accomplished in her honor. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end held a surprise Eras Tour farewell party to celebrate the end of his chart-topping world tour.

Apparently, she thought they were just going to an intimate dinner but was surprised when she was greeted by the guests waiting to celebrate.

A source said Page six that she was “impressed” that Kelce “went out of his way” to do that for her and that she really loved it.

“Taylor couldn’t have been more surprised when she saw everyone standing there,” the source shared. “That was the last thing I expected and I couldn’t believe Travis would go out of his way to throw her a surprise party.”

“She thought it was a very thoughtful and sweet gesture. It really meant a lot to her,” the source added.

To organize the event, Kelce made sure to leave no stone unturned, as it was “something I knew I wanted to do” for Swift and had been planning on it “for a while.”

The source who spoke to the outlet noted that Kelce “wanted to throw Taylor a surprise party because he felt like she deserved a big celebration after all the hard work she had put in.” Kelce is “so proud of her” and “grateful she was able to pull it off without a hitch,” the source shared.

According to the daily mailThe Super Bowl champion had outside help putting it all together when it was revealed he hired party planner Amanda Carlo for the job.

Images from the event have since flooded social media, with Kelce’s friend sharing photos of himself with the soccer star and a mystery blonde.

“Ma’am make this happen Amanda Carlo,” Kelce’s close friend Harry Clark wrote with a sunglasses emoji, tagging Carlo herself on Instagram. “Thank you for organizing an amazing event.”

The party was attended by some of Swift’s close friends and associates, including Ashley Avignone and Brittany Mahomes, the latter dressed as “Tayvis” (Taylor & Travis) with her husband, Patrick Mahomes.

Now that her tour has concluded, Swift is looking to take a much-needed break and focus on her romance with Kelce.

The “Bad Blood” singer has been on tour for almost 2 years and began her tour in March 2023. She wrapped up the last show of the tour on December 8 in Vancouver, British Columbia, after which she is apparently relaxing.

“Taylor is exhausted,” a source said. US Weekly. “She’s excited for some relaxation and downtime.”

Swift reportedly plans to stay in Kansas City with Kelce. She wants to strengthen their romance after spending little time together due to her busy touring schedule.

“Taylor plans to stay and hibernate (with Travis) for a while,” the source shared.

“They want to do ‘normal things’ as a couple,” another source added. “Taylor and Travis are looking forward to spending quality time together because (that’s when) the little nuances about someone’s personality and habits come into play. They’ll learn a lot about each other.”

The footballer praised Swift’s Eras Tour in an episode of Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.

“Shout out to Tay, and the incredible Eras Tour has finally come to an end,” Kelce said, according to the daily mail.

Her brother and podcast co-host, Jason, asked, “So how long did it last?” Kelce responded, “I think it was almost two years. March of the year we played the Super Bowl 149 shows. It’s crazy.”

And he added: “More than 10 million people in the stands during the course, it’s pretty crazy.”

Kelce also acknowledged the enormous effort behind the scenes: “Shout out to everyone who was a part of that show. Obviously, it’s their music, it’s their tour, but it was a full production, man, that thing.”

“It was the best tour in the world thanks to a lot of people. But especially thanks to Taylor!” pointed out the footballer.

Although the 35-year-old singer wants to get some rest, sources say the singer is already thinking about her next album and possible tour amid reports that she and Kelce could be moving forward with their relationship very soon.

“A lot of this depends on what happens over the next year with Travis,” the second source said. US Weekly. “He has told his team to give him a year to see how things go in his personal life.”

The couple is also open to solidifying their romance, with the source saying they “love being engaged” but are “in no rush.”

“Taylor feels like Travis is the one, but jumping isn’t his style,” the source shared. “That’s just not how she does (things). Marriage is a big deal and she wants it to be forever.”
