Join FRANCE 24 as we take a look at how we celebrate “Noël”, or Christmas, in France. The French usually have a big family lunch on Christmas Day, but the big event is actually Christmas Eve. Called “réveillon de Noël”, it consists of eating traditional French dishes such as oysters, foie gras, turkey stuffed with chestnuts and a delicious log-shaped cake. Basically, celebrating Christmas in France is about eating until you burst. Joyeux Noël!
