Fire breaks out at COP30 climate talks, suspending key negotiations


A fire ripped through the COP30 summit venue in Brazil on Thursday, burning part of the roof and forcing a panic evacuation as talks entered a critical phase. The fire affected the pavilions at the Belem site, the third major incident after indigenous protesters broke into and then blocked the site.
