I will let them enter a little one behind the scene of the farm of entertainment content: a group of people have to examine tons of movies and see what has some arbitrary anniversary. You start with the “5th Anniversary” and practically work in increases every five years in Upward. For some reason, pointing out the anniversary of any film will surely make people leave the carpentry for a few clicks. I don’t do this because I just want to write about movies that interest me. I don’t care if it’s the 50th anniversary of Jaws Because I’m celebrating Jaws Every day of my life.
But, there was a movie that I noticed that it would arrive on its twentieth anniversary. A movie that I have never heard a single positive word of any of my friends or colleagues. A film that often appears as one of the worst remakes in the history of the business. Now, that sounds like something that would interest me because I am a cinemaquista. But, after spending my own time and money to see it, I not only have to agree with the consensus but also to plant a flag that says that no one will celebrate the anniversary of this film, 20 or other.
Santos Smokes, The fog It is horrible.
If we only look The fog In a purely comparative light, it makes John Carpenter’s original and Debra Hill look even better. I will send you not to be a great admirer of the original movie, but I checked it when I decided to see the remake. Know, The fog (1980) is not a great image, but it is a small picturesque and effective novel of a film. It has atmosphere and a solid cast cast, although it lacks strong characters. Even so, after watching the 2005 remake, I am ready to declare that the original film is a masterpiece.
The fog (2005) is essentially a new version of the original of the original, but with some changes of characters that should be for their benefit. Unfortunately, they are as basic and unimportant as irrelevant compared. The few segments that the remake extracts directly from the original only shows how much more was John Carpenter’s film by John Carpenter.
The fog It was part of the rise of the new version of the 2000s and seems to have taken all the wrong lessons of the time. And he has not made the film any favor in terms of aging.
The most shocking part of The fog Remake is the aggressively boring that he manages to portray his story. With a reported budget of $ 18 million, this had a change in change decent enough for the effects. Too bad everything comes out as an episode of a bad paranormal research program that is canceled after a brief first season. The TV production level leads to a whole plug.
That is not helped by the main casting. The fog It was an attempt to jump Smallville Star Tom Welling at the great moment, along with Lost Actress Maggie Grace. I hate choosing the actors, but they are simply not at a level to raise this to something bigger and/or better. It only doubles throughout the “Bad Tv episode” atmosphere that radiates from this film.
Because the world is a sick and sad place, I’m sure there is someone out there who loves The fog redo. He managed to obtain 4% in Rotten Tomatoes, so there is someone willing to hit for this insomnia cure. And you know what? That’s great. I’m not here to change anyone’s mind, so if you love The fog Remake, more power for you. I only know that I can never trust the recommendations of your films.
