I couldn’t try this. I wanted to know how wide. Can you say: “Hi Yiko, just clean the bedroom on Fridays” and it works? The people of Ecovacs said yes. Yes, that is also possible, although the representative told me that he might need to appoint that table in the Ecovacs start application and call it with that specific name when he speaks his application. Again, I could not try any of this.

It is not that it imported if your internet fell, in that case, would lose a lot of functionality, according to the representatives. The application would no longer work because it bounces through the Ecovacs cloud infrastructure in the United States to do so. No more taking the opportunity to tell the robot to clean specific rooms, or to control it remotely from your smartphone, or watch videos saved to the recorded cloud while doing. It also means that no Yiko, because the device’s generative voice assistant also depends on the cloud.

But there is a way to use the void of the robot in which that doesn’t matter. There is a “agent accommodation” mode in the Ecovacs Home application where you can change the omnicyclone deebot x11 to control only AI, essentially putting all your faith in it to clean your home correctly. It could do it, at least according to Ecovacs, which says that it can recognize more than 100 different categories of objects, as small as a grain of sand. If you change it in that way and discover that it is fine in cleaning your home, without your contribution of yours, then it is possible that you never bother the application. And if that is The case, it is possible that it never knows when it is outside the Internet or that Debot X11 Omnicyclone has lost its connection with its network.

That does not mean that the robot is useless. The representatives of Ecovacs told me that without an Internet connection, the AI ​​on board the Debot X11 Omnicyclone would still do their own, sliding their schedule as necessary, identifying the disorder and changing their cleaning approach as it advances. I asked if the company sees a future in which even the voice assistant is on the device, and the representatives were not sure.

It is not the whole world I want to see, where my intelligent domestic devices never need an Internet connection to bring me their complete set of functions, or close enough for blues. But it is an encouraging movement in that direction, assuming that everything works in the way Ecovacs says it will. And, with AI, that can be a great “if”.
