Dak Prescott was not completely surprised by the successful Micah Parsons trade from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers.
The cowboys surprised the world of NFL last week when they decided to deal with the Star Parsons passes to their NFC rivals in exchange for two first -round teams and the Kenny Clark defensive Tackle. Subsequently, Parsons signed a four -year contract and $ 188 million with the Packers.
Parsons has possibly established the main passes corridor in the NFL, accumulating 52.5 captures in four seasons.
However, the cowboys could not accept an extension with a star that most would consider their best player after extremely frantic negotiations, which led them to make the remarkable decision to treat it within the conference.
However, for the Moniscal de Campo Prescott, it was not a turn of eyebrow events.
“I can’t say I was completely surprised, but I definitely didn’t think it was going to be changed,” Prescott told journalists on Sunday.
“Only with the way our negotiations fell, and to some extent it seemed that he became staff on his part. So, that’s why he didn’t surprise me.”
Few will wait for the cowboys to contain following Parsons trade. However, Prescott, who will lead Dallas against the Philadelphia Eagles in the first game of the season on Thursday, is ready to attack the challenge of silencing skeptics.
“I’m not going to say that we are better,” Prescott added. “We have to leave and prove it. We had to prove it even if I was in this team, so I am not going to say that in any way.
“I know what to add to a guy like Kenny Clark, adding a true leader, a real man who will only raise this team, who has been a Pro Bowl player and is excited to be here (media).”
While Prescott is excited by the incorporation of Clark, he will soon have to deal with the threat raised by Parsons. Cowboys face Packers on September 28.
“They paid him very well and great for him and his family,” said Prescott. “And we will see it here in approximately one month.”
