Apple wants a bigger place in your home, according to a report on Wednesday of Bloomberg Mark Gurman. While I might think of Apple mainly as the iPhone manufacturer, Apple Watch, iPad, MacBook, Airpods and more, the technological giant, according to reports, expects to use artificial intelligence to sell a series of new intelligent starting devices. These devices can include a table robot, home security cameras and an intelligent speaker with a screen.
An Apple representative did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
According to Bloomberg, in the center of the plan is the table robot, according to the reports, in 2027. Bloomberg, and CNET, they have reported on this plan before. At that time, the company, according to reports, had two concepts in mind: a robot that can move around the house and a robotic table device.
Now, Bloomberg says that the robot “will have a realistic version of Siri and the ability to interact with users throughout the day.” According to reports, it resembles an iPad mounted on a mobile limb that can be repositioned to face it.
The former senior editor of CNET, Lisa Eadicicco, wrote in 2024 that “perhaps the biggest challenge when it comes to a robot at home is that the market is not proven.” We have all seen the Robot Rosie maiden in the old jetsons cartoon, but do we really need or want a robotic assistant in our homes?
According to reports, another element that Apple is working is essentially an intelligent speaker with a screen. Bloomberg calls this a “stripped version of the robot.”
He will not have a robotic or conversational Siri arm, but he should be able to do things like the reproduction of music, take notes, control domestic devices and videoconference. Bloomberg says it will execute a new operating system called charismatic.
Home security cameras are becoming increasingly popular, and Apple also wants to move to that kingdom. The company will make cameras that will anchor an Apple security system, according to the report.
