The Australian Court finds Apple, Google abused the power store market power

Epic Games has just obtained a crusade victory against Apple’s policies and those of the Google App Store: the Federal Court of Australia ruled on Tuesday that Apple and Google are dedicated to anti -competitive behavior when it was their respective application stores, ABC News reported.

Although Judge Jonathan Beach discovered that the two technological giants had abused their dominant position in the applications distribution market to limit competition, rejected Epic’s statements that companies had participated in “inconceivable behavior.”

Epic Games has been fighting the structure of Apple and Google rates for purchases in the application in several jurisdictions throughout the planet. The company won a great victory against Apple this year in the United States, and as a result, Fortnite returned to Apple’s App Store in the United States after five years.

Tuesday’s failure could generate a similar result for EPIC in Australia: the company’s CEO, Tim Sweeny, saying That the Epic and Fortnite game store would return to the Apple App Store in the country soon.

“We welcome the rejection of the Court to EPIC’s demands that we distribute application stores of the Google Play store, and Epic attacks to other critical security protections in which users trust. However, we do not agree with the characterization of the court of our billing policies and practices, as well as their findings with respect to some of our historical associations,” said a Google deposit electronic

Meanwhile, Apple told ABC News that your application store is the safest way for users to obtain applications, and that you did not agree with the Court’s decision about some of Epic’s statements.
