Following the tragic shock AI171 of AI171, the tragic Air India, near Ahmedabad, the Tata Group airline has announced the operation of two special relief flights since Delhi and Mumbai to Ahmedabad to support the relatives of passengers and crew members. According to Air India, special services are scheduled as follows:
Flight IX1555 from Delhi to Ahmedabad will leave at 11:00 pm on June 12, and the return flight IX1556 will start from Ahmedabad at 1:10 am on June 13.
Ai1402 flight from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will also start at 11:00 pm on June 12, with the flight back toi1409 that leaves Ahmedabad at 1:15 am on June 13.
Air India has established a dedicated direct line number 1800 5691 444 for relatives located in Delhi and Mumbai who want to travel on these flights. The airline is also helping those who arrive from international locations, which can communicate through the Direct International Support Line to +91 8062779200.
A Boeing 787 Dreamliner en route to London Gatwick crashed only a few minutes after the take -off of Sardar Vallebhbhai Patel International Ahmedabad at 1:39 pm on Thursday. The plane, which operates under the AI171 Air India flight, transported 242 people, including two pilots and ten members of the cabin crew, as confirmed by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The plane was under the command of Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, with the first officer Clive Kundar as co -pilot. In its official statement, the DGCA said: “The plane departed at 13:39 IST of track 23. A Mayday’s call was received by air traffic control (ATC), but there was no more communication. The plane crashed beyond the airport limit and was observed by emitting dense black smoke.”
In response to the tragedy, the president of the Tata Group, N Chandrasekaran, announced that the company will provide RS 1 crore in compensation to the family of each deceased passenger. He also assured that medical expenses for injured will be completely covered, with comprehensive care and rehabilitation support to follow.
Beyond the assistance of the passengers, the Tata Group has promised help to rebuild the BJ Medical College shelter, which suffered damage due to the impact of the accident. “We are committed to keeping all those affected by this devastating event,” said Chandrasekaran in a statement, underlining the group’s support for the victims of the victims and the largest community affected by the incident.
