Approximately 75,000 federal employees have accepted the Deferred Resignation Program of President Donald Trump, after the United States Personnel Management Office offered more than 2 million federal purchases of civil employees in January to leave their jobs or force themselves to return To work in person.

The White House confirmed to Fox News Digital that the numbers had risen to 75,000 to Thursday morning.

The Trump administration offer faced scrutiny, and a federal judge temporarily blocked the administration plan by advancing in the middle of the challenges of the unions groups that expressed concerns that the law did not require the Trump administration to delay its end of the agreement.
However, the American district judge George O’Toole of Massachusetts failed in favor of the White House on Wednesday night, stating that the plaintiffs in the case are not directly affected by the offer of the Trump administration.
“They claim that the directive submits them to upstream effects, including a deviation of resources to answer the questions of the members about the directive, a possible loss of membership and possible reputation damage,” O’Toole wrote.
“The unions do not have the direct participation required in the Bifurcation Directive, but they are challenging a policy that affects others, specifically Branch executive employees,” O’Toole wrote. “This is not enough.”
The Trump administration praised the Court’s decision, and the White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, described it as “the first of many legal victories for the president.”

“The court dissolved the mandate due to lack of position,” Leavitt said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “This shows that Lawfare will not ultimately prevail over the will of 77 million Americans who supported President Trump and his priorities.”
The purchase program is one of several initiatives that the Trump administration has presented to reduce the Federal Labor Force. On Tuesday, Trump also signed an executive order that instructed the Government Efficiency Department (Doge) to coordinate with federal agencies and execute mass cuts in the numbers of the Federal Work Force personnel.

The order instructs Dege and federal agencies that work together so that “significantly” reduce the size of the federal government and limit the hiring of new employees, according to an information sheet from the White House in the order. Specifically, agencies should not hire more than one employee for every four left their federal position.
Agencies are also told that “undertake plans for large -scale reductions in force” and evaluate ways to eliminate or combine agency functions that are not legally necessary, according to the information sheet.
